The fall sale will be farmer’s-market-style with vendors offering a variety of natives. Each supplier will handle their own check-out process (cash, check, or credit card). Shoppers should bring a box, cart, or wagon to carry plants. Volunteers will be on hand to help you. Admission to the Native Plant Market is free.

Rick Huffman and Dan Whitten will drive attendees along the Blue Ridge Parkway, making several stops to learn about and enjoy springtime in the mountains. View the rhododendrons, enjoy wildflowers up close and learn about the geology of this wonder so close to home.

Join us at the Black River Preserve, a 1000 acre private holding along the Black River, the 70 mile long state park and see some of the treasures this place of wonder has to offer. They will unveil for us the new Native Plant garden and Greenhouse. This is open to all chapters of SCNPS and guests but limited to the first 50 registrants. Protecting the Jewels of the Night: How You Can Support Fireflies

Join John Alexander, owner of SC Carnivorous, to learn all about our native carnivorous plants and build a beginner bog garden!

This Sunday (April 27th) we will have our very first field trip to Jeffries Creek Park! We will spend some time walking the nature trail, identifying native plants, and appreciating all of the local flora and fauna!
