Title - Art as science: The botany of traditional crafts by Linda Lee

Description - We will examine and discuss a collection of objects that were handmade by me from natural materials found in our local ecosystems as a non-traditional approach to environmental outreach. This will be an interactive discussion with ample time for Q/A.

Presenter Linda Lee is a botanist, artist, and lifelong resident of the Southeastern Coastal Plain. She holds a BA in studio art from Columbia College and a MS in plant biology from the University of Georgia. She is a program coordinator at the UGA Savannah River Ecology Lab.
