Summary
Description
Featured Speaker: Aaron Davis
Presentation: “Trees: An American Tradition”
Join us for our November monthly meeting at the Berea Branch Library in Greenville (and via Zoom), where we welcome Aaron Davis, Executive Director of TreesUpstate.
Today's tree planting movement was made possible after the American Civil War by those who believed trees were a way to heal the land and our deep divisions. While TreesUpstate is only twenty years old, this presentation traces our longer history in this wider movement, the challenges we face today, and what we are doing now to make trees part of the solution.
