Join us after work to count nature's abundance in Columbia with the Columbia City Nature Challenge. This is an international four-day competition where cities across the globe compete to record the biodiversity of their urban and surrounding areas.

At our March 13 meeting we'll learn about using iNaturalist to prepare for this event and myriad other citizen science projects you can take part in through this amazing tool. Be sure to download the iNaturalist app from your app store and create an account before you arrive.

The Belser Arboretum trail is a 0.3 mile loop with short side trails. You'll find plenty of native plant species and wildlife. Wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars and a hand lens if you like. Let's adjourn to a local watering hole afterward!

Note: there are no bathroom facilities at the arboretum. Trails are not paved and conditions are hilly.
