Whitehall Garden mini-field trip
Admission
- Free
Location
195 Shareditch Rd.
Columbia, SC 29210
United States of America
Description
Come see the beds that Brad spoke of at our last meeting. View the two beds the Whitehall Garden Club has planted and learn about their plans for the rest of the lot. The purpose of the project is to provide a model for how some of the lots that were lost to flooding in 2015 can be managed. See two other lots nearby that are managed differently. One was seeded by the county and allowed to grow wild; the other where a few neighbors have installed exotic ornamental plants. Additionally, we can drive to some of the other vacant lots that are currently unmanaged.
Space is unlimited! Registration has closed but join us anyway.
Directions: From Columbia, take I-26 to exit 106A, St. Andrews Rd. toward Irmo. Turn right on Banbury Rd. Left at Northman Dr. Left on Barmount, which becomes Sandhurst after you round the bend. The gardens are straight ahead (195 Shareditch Rd.). Parking is on the street. Call Brad 803-260-7643 if your GPS takes you to Seven Oaks Park.
