Lecture: Native Plants from a Birder’s Perspective

Jennifer McCarthey Tyrrell, Engagement Manager and Master bird bander for Audubon South Carolina

This talk will focus on native plants from a bird’s-eye view, and will include advice on the best native plants for birds and tips on attracting more birds to your area.  Jen Tyrrell is the engagement manager and master bird bander for Audubon South Carolina, as well as president of the local Audubon chapter, the Charleston Natural History Society, a certified Master Rain Gardener, and a member of SCNPS.

Join us after the lecture for some social time with members and complimentary snacks!

Meeting Location and Parking: Enter Byrd Hall from Jones Ave and follow the hallway to the back of the building into the Auditorium. Free parking is available after 5:00 PM in the parking lot south of Richardson Street, accessible from Mims Ave.
