Description

Invasive plants are spooooky! Help us remove them from our state parks this October! 

Help support native plant biodiversity in the state park by removing invasive species, such as English ivy and privet. Ranger Ann Wilson will provide instruction in how to identify invasive species and techniques for removal. This volunteer event involves high exertion (walking through brush, kneeling, working with tools, etc.). Participants must wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Participants should bring their own work gloves. Tools/equipment will be provided. Please bring plenty of water. Participants may also want a hat, sunscreen, bugspray, and any personal items (e.g. snacks, medication, etc.). Participants must be at least 12 years old.

Time: 9:30 - 11:30AM 

Cost: Free park admission for volunteers!
