Summary

Join us for a composting class taught by Georgetown County's Environmentalist, Maureen Mulligan!

Description

Everyone has kitchen scraps and paper waste, and what better use for it than to turn it into soil enriching compost! It's an easy thing everyone can do at home to be more sustainable.

Georgetown County's Environmentalist, Maureen Mulligan, will be teaching Compost 101 for our chapter. Join us to learn all the ins and outs of basic composting like what items can be composted, how to maintain your compost, and how to incorporate it into your garden. There will be a hands on composting activity at the end of the workshop and you will be able to take something home (details to come).

This will be a very low exertion event and will include sitting in a classroom setting with minimal standing. Please bring a notebook and something to write with if you would like to take notes!

Date: August 1st

Time: 10AM-11:30AM

Location: CCU Coastal Science Center, room 300 (301 Allied Dr, Conway, SC 295263).
