Summary
Description

Join us on a tour of the beautiful Yawkey Wildlife Center! On this tour we will be stopping to see some of our native wildflowers, such as Hibiscus moscheutous (Swamp Rose Mallow), Nymphaea odorata (American White Water Lily), and Stachys caroliniana (Carolina Hedge Nettle).
This will be a low exertion event, but will include extended periods of standing and walking (~1 mile). We will be riding a bus through the property and stopping to take short walks. Anticipate walking along trails and through brush on uneven ground.
Wear long pants and closed toed shoes. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, and plenty of water. This area has ticks and in June will have lots of mosquitoes which will be undetered by bug spray. Please consider wearing long sleeves and bringing a hat with mosquito netting.
