Presentation: “Conservation Programs at the Greenville Watershed"
Join us for our June monthly meeting at the Five Forks Library in Greenville (and via Zoom), where we welcome Conservations Carson Barefoot.
All are welcome at this free event.
Greenville Water owns and manages 30,000 acres of private forested watershed surrounding Table Rock and North Saluda Reservoirs. The conservation team actively manages for forest health using tools such as prescribed fire and selective thinning. They also document total biodiversity and hydrologic change over time using various monitoring protocols. Their goal is to increase overall ecosystem health to enhance resilience to future disturbances and to fulfill Greenville Water’s mission of providing quality drinking water for a sustainable future.
