Summary

This is an opportunity for us to follow up on Todd Beasley's presentation to MNPS in January. We will get to see the gardens in their prime.

Description

The Garden bills itself as a living museum of southeastern coastal plain flora.  Spanning over 11.5 acres, the Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern offers a diverse array of gardens, collections, heritage sites, and trails, providing an immersive experience in the natural and cultural history of the region. Visitors can explore native plant landscapes, historic sites, and unique ecological habitats that reflect the biodiversity and agricultural heritage of the Southeastern Coastal Plain.

We will receive a tour from Director Todd Beasley.  The tour is 45-60 minutes in length.   After the tour, we can continue to explore the grounds.

Take a look at the "collections" page.  There is something for everybody.

As always, please dress for the weather.  Bring a hat, sunscreen and water.

Regarding an entry fee, Todd says there is a $5 entry fee.  He will be glad to waive it for us or we can make a donation upon arrival.
