Description

Our September Chapter Meeting will be held in-person with a presentation from Nancy Adamson, SC Biologist with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, all about our native specialist bees! Specialist bees rely on one or a few related plant species to raise their young. Nancy will tell us about their relationships with our native plants and offer recommendations on bee-enticing plants to include in your garden and yard!

Nancy is an ecologist interested in community connections between plants, people, pollinators, other wildlife, and the micro-organisms we all depend on. She studied native bees important for crop pollination at Virginia Tech and is now with the US Fish and Wildlife Service in Newberry, SC.

Where: The Clemson Extension Office at 18 John Galt Rd, Beaufort, SC 29906 (Google Maps Link Here)
