An Overview of the Mint Family (Lamiaceae)
with John Nelson, Curator Emeritus of USC's A.C. Moore Herbarium

John Nelson is a specialist in the Lamiaceae family, in particular the genus Stachys, which he has been researching for more than 50 years. In 2014 he coauthored with Douglas Rayner, "A New Hedgenettle (Stachys: Lamiaceae) from South Carolina U.S.A," documenting the new species first, Stachys caroliniana, collected by Rayner in 1977 and later identified by Nelson.

The public is always welcome!
