Description

Join us for a visit to Bottle Tree Gardening where owner Dwight Williams will take you on a tour of the grounds and discuss running a native plant nursery, including propagation, timing, and finding seeds. Allison Williams, owner of Flying Fig Farm, will be joining Dwight to discuss her growing operation, for another glimpse into how these incredible native plants make it from the nursery to your backyard! Both Dwight and Allison will have plants for sale, so don't forget to start scoping out your yard for where your next native plant will call home!

Carpooling - We will organize a local meeting place where we can consolidate vehicles for anyone that wants to carpool (remember to leave room for bringing home plant purchases though!)

*Optional - Early Morning Hike at Francis Marion National Forest - When you register, please indicate if you would like to attend the optional hike before visiting Bottle Tree Gardening. We will follow up with directions.

Hike info: We will visit a Carolina Bay in Francis Marion National Forest that is home to pond cypress, orchids, and carnivorous plants. The Bay is a 15 minute drive from Bottle Tree Gardening. We will be hiking a short distance (roughly one mile) over flat, but uneven terrain. Plan to wear close-toed shoes and long pants. Water is a must. Hat, sunscreen, and bugspray are highly encouraged. We will meet at 8:30AM at the bay and depart by 9:45AM.
