Join us on the morning of Saturday May 31st, 2025  for a unique opportunity to explore the Lynchburg Savanna Heritage Preserve, a rare and ecologically significant site managed by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

According to the SCDNR website, this wet longleaf pine savanna is “listed by botanists and ecologists as one of the most biologically diverse and imperiled ecosystems in North America.” Located in Lee County, the preserve is a haven for rare and unusual plant species.

This field trip offers a chance to witness a stunning and seldom-seen landscape—an important remnant of the Southeastern Coastal Plain ecosystem. Don’t miss this special outing with fellow native plant enthusiasts!
