Help support our state parks by making room for native plants to thrive!
Help support native plant biodiversity in the state park by removing invasive species, such as Chinese Wisteria (Wisteria sinensis), Autumn Olive (Eleagnus spp.) and Privet (Ligustrum spp.). Ranger Mike Walker will provide instruction in how to identify invasive species and techniques for removal. This volunteer event involves high exertion (walking through brush, kneeling, working with tools, etc.). Participants must wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Participants should bring their own work gloves. Tools/equipment will be provided. Please bring plenty of water. Participants may also want a hat, sunscreen, bugspray, and any personal items (e.g. snacks, medication, etc.). Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
