Help support our state parks by making space for native plants to thrive!
Help support native plant biodiversity at Myrtle Beach State Park by removing invasive species, such as Privet (Ligustrum spp.), Autumn Olive (Eleagnus spp.), and English Ivy (Hedera helix). SCNPS will provide instruction in how to identify invasive species and techniques for removal. This volunteer event involves high exertion (walking through brush, kneeling, working with tools, etc.). Participants must wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Participants should bring their own work gloves. Tools/equipment will be provided. Please bring plenty of water. Participants may also want a hat, sunscreen, bugspray, and any personal items (e.g. snacks, medication, etc.). Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
Volunteers get free park admission for the day!
